TC TCCE

Maintaining and developing TETRA with user-driven standards for authority-to-authority secure voice and data services over broadband and narrowband air interfaces.

ETSI’s Technical Committee on TETRA and Critical Communications Evolution (TC TCCE) is responsible for the development, maintenance and evolution of the TETRA standard.

Terrestrial Trunked RAdio (TETRA) is a digital trunked mobile radio standard developed by ETSI to support the communication requirements of Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) users.

TETRA is designed to address the mission-critical operational needs of these user groups. The technology provides a scalable architecture, enabling cost-effective deployments ranging from single-site local coverage to multi-site wide-area and nationwide networks.

Wide-area fast call set-up for “all-informed” group communications

Enabling rapid establishment of group calls across the network to support coordinated operations and mission-critical communications.

Enabling radio terminals to communicate directly with each other without the use of network infrastructure, thus supporting communications in areas without network coverage or during network outages.
