René Léveillé is a Security Developer on the Cryptography and Standards team at 1Password. His work focuses on identity and applied cryptography, including AI identity and delegation, post-quantum migration, and the practical deployment of secure authentication systems. René has been active in the identity standards community, contributing to work on passkeys and Credential Exchange to improve interoperability, credential portability, and phishing-resistant user experiences. He brings an implementer’s perspective to standards development, bridging protocol design, product engineering, and real-world deployment requirements.
