Olivier Genoud is a Technical Expert at the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), working within the Centre for Testing and Interoperability (CTI). He graduated from Telecom Bretagne in France with a Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Networks & Information Systems. Through his roles at NOKIA in the UK, Anritsu Corporation in Japan, and ETSI in France, he has built extensive experience in the mobile wireless industry and the standards‑making process. He has been an active participant in the 3GPP standardisation body since 2004 and has contributed to the development of protocol conformance test specifications for 3G (WCDMA/HSPA), 4G (LTE/LTE‑Advanced), and now 5G and 5G‑Advanced technologies. In his current assignment, he serves as project leader of the 3GPP Task Force TF160, a multi‑site collaborative project bringing together more than 20 protocol and testing experts from 3GPP member companies worldwide. TF160 is responsible for the development and maintenance of the standardised reference software implementation of the 3GPP protocol conformance test specifications.
