Hans Christiaan de Raad is founder of OpenNovations, a consultancy and software development firm focused on high-integrity data management, cybersecurity, and computerized systems validation in regulated environments. With more than two decades of experience spanning IT infrastructure, secure architectures, data governance, and compliance-driven system delivery, he works with organizations in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and other high-accountability sectors to design systems that are auditable, resilient, and fit for continuous change. He leads the development of Aranei, an open standards-based, model-centric platform built on open-source technologies, and his work centers on trustworthy automation, end-to-end traceability, and evidence-based quality for data and AI pipelines. Hans is a frequent presenter at ETSI conferences, including UCAAT, the ETSI Artificial Intelligence Conference, the ETSI Security Conference, and the ETSI AI and Data Conference, where he speaks on practical, transparent, and defensible engineering for complex digital systems.
