Go Kato
National Institute of Information and Communications Technology
Go Kato is a researcher in quantum information theory with a strong focus on the security foundations of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and quantum-safe communication. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo and began his career at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, where he conducted continuous research in quantum information science. He later joined the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), where he currently serves as the Director of a laboratory dedicated to quantum information research. His work includes theoretical studies on security proofs for QKD systems and related cryptographic protocols. He has also contributed to secure network communications that utilize secret keys shared through QKD networks as a practical resource for building trustworthy communication infrastructures.
