6G-DALI
Organised by the ETSI Software Development Group (SDG) for Open Operator Platform (OOP) with the support of the 6G-DALI project, the OOP#3 Hackfest, colocated with the OOP#3 Plenary Meeting scheduled one day prior, will bring together developers, researchers, and industry practitioners for a hands-on, collaborative one-day event focused on experimenting with the newly introduced Data Lab module (https://oop.etsi.org/news/mdg-data-lab/) and its integration within the broader OpenOP platform. This event, free and open to all, will be held on 24 July 2026 from 10:00 to 18:00.
The Hackfest will provide a practical environment to explore how Data Lab extends OpenOP with DataOps capabilities, enabling data analytics services, AI pipelines, and dataspace-based data sharing across federated environments. Participants will have the opportunity to work directly with the platform, contributing to the integration of Data Lab into the OpenOP stack, improving usability, and enhancing interoperability with existing modules.
Activities will span from the development of practical, functionality-enabling features aimed at strengthening the adoption and usability of Data Lab, to more advanced Proof-of-Concept (PoC) implementations, including topics such as DataOps workflows, AI-driven data processing, and intent-based data management (e.g., AI-assisted data cleaning and preparation).
By contributing to OpenOP during the Hackfest, either through a corporate affiliation or as an individual, participants will not only experiment with cutting-edge technologies but also help build reusable components and capabilities that can have a lasting impact on the future of data-driven, AI-enabled Telco-Cloud platforms.
The OpenOP Hackfest is designed as an open and inclusive event, welcoming contributors from beyond the OpenOP community. Whether you are an open-source developer, a researcher working on AI and data technologies, or an innovator in the Telco-Cloud space, you are welcome to participate.
Participation in ETSI Hackfest is free and open to all upon registration.
