ETSI - Director of Software and Standards

Silvia Almagia is Director of Software and Standards at ETSI, where she leads a team of technical experts focused on advancing collaborative software and open-source initiatives in support of standardization. Previously, Silvia served as a Technical Expert at the ETSI Centre for Testing and Interoperability, where she was responsible for the NFV Interoperability Programme and multiple Proof-of-Concept frameworks, including NFV, MEC, and ZSM, among others. Before joining ETSI, she worked for several Telco Software Companies, leading the design and development of carrier-grade solutions for Mobile Services, Operations Support Systems (OSS), and Network Management Platforms, building a solid background in telecom and software engineering.
