Nasreen Latheef has spent the last two decades building identity, privacy, trust & safety solutions across global, regulated environments including government, healthcare, telecommunications, retail, and financial services (TD Canada Trust, UHN, Metrolinx, Telus Security, Great West Life, Canada Health Infoway and CIBC). In her current role as Director, Identity and Access Authentication and Automation at CIBC, Nasreen leads initiatives that modernize authentication systems and enhance identity governance. Her work supports secure digital transformation at scale, improving both operational efficiency and user trust. Nasreen is an LLM (Master of Laws) candidate at Osgoode Hall Law School, specializing in Cybersecurity and Privacy. This academic focus reflects her commitment to bridging the gap between technology, law, and policy—an increasingly critical intersection in today’s digital world. As part of this research, Nasreen is actively exploring quantum-resilient security strategies, including post-quantum cryptography and the future of identity in a quantum-enabled world.
