Min Hyung Kim

Min Hyung Kim is a long-time security researcher at SK Telecom, where he has worked on mobile and telecom network security for over twenty years. His career in security began in 1997 with research on PKI and SSO, and since joining SK Telecom in 2003, he has contributed to foundational projects in WPKI, DRM, and smartcard-based mobile payment systems. Since 2010, his work has centered on Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and its integration into commercial telecom environments. From 2018 to 2021, he joined ID Quantique (IDQ), where he played a pivotal role in globalizing SK Telecom’s QKD and QKMS technologies. His expertise spans high-speed encryption, QKMS, and QSDN for quantum-secured networks. His current research focuses on cost-efficient QKD architectures, particularly WDM multiplexing technologies — the subject of his poster session at this event.
