Hugh Podmore is a lead optical systems engineer and PhD physicist at Honeywell Aerospace with over 15 years’ experience in optical systems development for space missions. Hugh currently leads the optical payload team for the Quantum EncrYption and Science Satellite (QEYSSat), as well as the quantum key distribution terminal for the QKDSat mission. Hugh’s research interests include astronomy, spectroscopy, free space optical communications, quantum communications, and timing distribution.
