Daniel Panario

Daniel Panario was born in Uruguay where he studied Mathematics and Computer Science. He received a M.Sc. degree from the University of São Paulo (Brazil) and a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto (Canada). He is Professor of Mathematics at Carleton University in Ottawa (Canada). His main research interests are in finite fields and applications to coding theory and cryptography, and in the analysis of algorithms. He is the current President of the Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications, and a member of the editorial board of Designs, Codes and Cryptography; Journal of Mathematical Cryptology; Cryptography and Communications; Finite Fields and their Applications; Journal of Combinatorial Theory, Series A; among others.
