Itan Barmes is the Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Qiz Security, a cryptography posture management platform that helps enterprises achieve crypto-agility and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) readiness.

Before founding Qiz, Itan led the cryptography and quantum security capability at Deloitte Netherlands, advising a wide range of organizations on cryptographic risk management, PKI, key management, and quantum-safe transitions. He also served as a Quantum Security project fellow at the World Economic Forum, helping shape the Forum’s quantum security toolkit.

Itan holds a PhD in experimental physics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and publishes and speaks regularly on quantum cybersecurity and cryptography management. He founded Qiz to close the gap he saw firsthand at Deloitte: organizations lacked the tooling to discover, prioritize, and remediate cryptographic risk at scale. That operational reality drives the platform Qiz is building today.
