Open Call for Recruitment of ICT Standardization Experts and for the related Support Services for the GIST Project

Sophia Antipolis, France, 28 February 2025

Running from January 2025 to December 2028, GIST aims to foster long-term partnerships with local standardization communities in key international markets while offering the European human-centric approach to ICT standardization in support to the Digital Transformation.

Funded by DG INTPA, the project is led by the European Standardization Organizations (CEN, CENELEC and ETSI), with CEN serving as the Project Coordinator. Representatives from the European Commission’s DG CNECT (Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology) and DG GROW (Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship, and SMEs) are also actively involved in the Project Steering Committee.

During the inaugural Steering Committee meeting, it was confirmed that five experts will be appointed to represent the European Standardization Community in dedicated country offices located in:

  • Kenya
  • Nigeria
  • Tunisia (also covering activities in Egypt)
  • Colombia
  • Indonesia (also covering activities in the Philippines)

CEN, CENELEC and ETSI are launching today the recruitment for these expert positions, along with support services:
