oneM2M announced as the “Top IoT Standards Body of the Year”

logo of oneM2MOn April 8, winners for the 7th Annual Compass Intelligence Awards in IoT, Mobile, and Emerging Tech were announced. oneM2M was the winner in the category “Top IoT Standards Body of the Year”. ETSI is a founding partner of the oneM2M partnership project, along with 6 other standards bodies, ARIB, ATIS, CCSA, TTA, TTC and TIA. TSDSI joined the project in 2015.

The 7th annual Compass Intelligence awards honors the top companies, products, and technology solutions in mobile, IoT, and emerging technology industries. Nominations come from companies, PR and corporate communications firms, and other colleagues. A selection is done by 40+ industry-leading press, editors, journalists, thought leaders, and analysts.

The programme includes three primary award categories: Mobile & Wireless, IoT (Internet of Things), and Emerging Tech, along with CompassIntel.com selected “of the Year” awards. The 39 nominated awards and 5 Compass-selected awards identify the best in mobile devices and software, wireless technology, mobile applications, platforms, Internet of Things, wearables, robotics, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, connected products, and emerging solutions.

oneM2M covers requirements, architecture, API specifications, security solutions and interoperability for Machine-to-Machine and IoT technologies. oneM2M specifications provide a framework to support applications and services such as the smart grid, connected car, home automation, public safety, and health.
