About

ETSI at MWC Barcelona

ETSI is a proud partner of MWC2026, supporting innovation and collaboration across the global ICT community.

Experience the power of connection
MWC Barcelona is the one time of year where everyone who’s anyone in the world of connectivity comes together under one roof. Tens of thousands of senior leaders from top global companies, international governments and trailblazing tech businesses converge to connect and create the future.
As we enter a new age of intelligence, smarter connection is the path forward—where human ideas drive technological innovation, commercial impact and societal progress.
The IQ Era embodies this vision: a future shaped by collective knowledge, collaboration across industries, and breakthroughs that redefine what’s possible. MWC is the catalyst that brings these minds, technologies and opportunities together

ETSI at the forefront
This year, ETSI will be onsite with a dedicated delegation ready to engage with industry leaders, innovators, members, partners, press and media. Our representatives will be available throughout the event to discuss ongoing standardisation work, share insights on cross industry collaboration, and explore how ETSI’s Technical Groups are contributing to the next era of intelligent, connected technologies. Together, we aim to shape the foundations of secure, interoperable digital ecosystems that can scale globally.

The AI Telco Troubleshooting Challenge
ETSI is pleased to support the AI Telco Troubleshooting Challenge launched in collaboration with GSMA, IEEE GenAINet, ITU, TM Forum and key industry stakeholders. This challenge invites telecom operators, researchers and startups to develop LLMs that can improve how network faults are diagnosed and understood. The winners of the challenge will be announced at a dedicated prize-giving session during MWC 2026.
The challenge explores several technical areas:
    _ Generalisation to new faults,
_ Lightweight models for edge deployments,
_ Explainability & reasoning, along with additional tracks on secure edge-cloud deployments and AI services for developers.
At ETSI, we are pleased to support this effort, building on our work in edge computing and AI-native network architectures to help drive practical advances in network automation.

We look forward to meeting you at MWC Barcelona and contributing to the conversations that will shape tomorrow’s intelligent and connected world.
