Advert for an Apprentice – Education about Standardisation Outreach Support
We are seeking an Apprentice to support outreach activities related to the Education about Standardisation programme.
Missions
The apprentice will support activities related to:
• Developing a network and community of young professionals interested in standardisation.
• Identifying universities and higher education institutions teaching standardisation-related topics.
• Creating and maintaining a database (or feeding the ETSI CRM) of academic contacts, programmes and courses.
• Supporting outreach activities towards universities, lecturers, students and relevant stakeholders.
• Contributing to communication and engagement initiatives on digital platforms and social media.
• Supporting research and benchmarking activities related to standardisation education worldwide.
The role may include:
• Supporting online community-building initiatives for students and young professionals (NextGen Standards People).
• Supporting communication campaigns and visibility activities for the NextGen Standards People community.
• Researching universities, courses, and academic programmes related to ICT, engineering, innovation, law, policy and standardisation.
• Updating and structuring contact databases and mapping information.
• Preparing outreach materials, presentations and short reports.
Profile
Candidatures are particularly welcome from candidates having the following profile:
• Master 2 student in education, engineering, ICT, international relations, law, public policy, communications or related fields.
• Interest in standardisation, technology and innovation.
• Strong organisational and research skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Comfortable working with databases and online research tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment.
Valuable Additional Skills
• Experience with community management.
• Knowledge of the European standardisation system.
• Experience in academic outreach or stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with CRM or database tools.
The post will be based at our headquarters located in Sophia-Antipolis, a lung of greenery between Cannes and Nice.
