UCAAT 2026 will take place in ETSI Headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France, on 14-16 April 2026.

Overview

The annual ETSI User Conference on Advanced Automated Testing (UCAAT) is the most important point in the calendar of ETSI’s Technical Committee Methods for Testing and Specification (TC MTS).

ETSI’s UCAAT conference, now in its 12th year, is dedicated to all aspects of automated testing including model-based testing, cloud testing, mobile testing, test methodologies, test management and standardised test specification by focusing on the practical challenges that are often faced in industry and standardisation.

This conference brings together research and industry from different application domains such as telco, banking, IT services, automotive, robotics, healthcare, defence and software vendors to meet, discuss and share their practical experiences in the field of software testing. UCAAT is aimed specifically at test engineers, test designers, test automation experts, test tool and test service providers, as well as test and quality assurance analysts. More broadly, UCAAT is also of interest to engineers working in software development, automation, and DevOps, as well as project leaders or managers in digital transformation, and academics and researchers in the field of testing.

UCAAT gives attendees a unique opportunity to discover, share, learn, and challenge modern test automation approaches, technologies and strategies for research, industry and standardisation.

The ETSI AI and Data Conference - Bringing AI and data together will take place face-to-face on 09-11 February 2026, in ETSI premises, Sophia Antipolis, France. 

The 2026 ETSI AI and Data Conference is the 3rd edition of the event. Focusing exclusively on AI in the past, the scope is now extended to intertwine AI and Data management technologies. Standardisation Requests in support of the EU AI Act and the EU Data Act, means that European Standardisation Organisations are actively contributing to EU policy. 

The event will provide an overview of current priorities in the AI and Data ecosystems, with a detailed discussion on how ETSI is addressing those. Agentic AI will also be in the spotlight in a dedicated session, and will be addressed from political, industrial, and wider perspectives.

Attendees will learn about standardisation around AI and have the opportunity to contribute actively, and highlight potential gaps, share ideas for new projects. The event will also feature demonstrations and posters on the latest advances in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data being applied to networks, digital systems and vertical sector applications.

ETSI is pleased to support the BodyNets2025 international conference.

BodyNets2025 is an international symposium on healthcare IoT technology and its applications. This symposium is a place for not only information and communications engineers and researchers, but also experts in medicine, health, welfare, and medical information systems to take up a variety of issues and discuss solutions and ideas. BodyNets literally focuses on research and development of networks around the body, and has been collaborating with ETSI TC SmartBAN for many years. Since the first BodyNets was held in Italy in 2007, it has been held every year in Europe, North America, and Asia, and this is the 20th time. The ETSI TeraFlowSDN (TFS) community is organising the TFS#8 Hackfest from 18 November afternoon to 21 November 2025 midday. This Hackfest will be held remotely and will focus on the newest features of TFS Release 6.

Scope: 

The Hackfest will highlight the latest features of TFS Release 6 and focus on their testing and validation. In this regard, the Hackfest will foster collaboration among both new and experienced TFS users and developers, with a particular emphasis on those who are new to TFS.

This event will consist of tutorials followed by hands-on lab exercises in the form of challenges to be completed by participants. It will be dedicated to code debugging, bug fixing and feature testing within the latest TeraFlowSDN Release 6 framework.

The event will span from Tuesday to Friday with daily sessions.

Briefing sessions will be recorded, allowing everyone to follow up at their own pace after the event.

Registration is open until 14 November 2025 included.

ETSI is pleased to host the virtual ESTIMED Hackathon #1 that will take place from 28 October to 30 October 2025.

The project called ESTIMED (Enabling Standardized IoT deployments in MEC Environments for advanced systems) is co-funded by the European Commission and EFTA. It brings together open standards from ETSI ISG MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing) and oneM2M into a horizontal platform for interoperable and scalable IoT systems.

The ESTIMED Hackathon #1 invites developers, researchers, and innovators to collaborate and build cutting-edge applications leveraging oneM2M IoT standards and ETSI MEC edge computing technologies.
