ETSI is pleased to actively support this year again FutureNet World 2025. FutureNet World 2025 is the premier event bringing the global telecoms industry together to explore and address the strategic and commercial priorities shaping today’s digital landscape. Taking place on 7-8 May 2025 at Novotel West, London, this event is the ultimate platform for decision-makers, thought leaders, and innovators to discuss the future of network transformation.

At the heart of FutureNet World is the focus on Network Automation and AI, two foundational pillars driving the next wave of telecom growth. With the explosion of cloud services and IoT, service providers face unprecedented data challenges, requiring networks to handle immense complexity and scale. AI and automation have emerged as critical enablers to ensure intelligent network operations, self-healing capabilities, and real-time decision-making, while reducing delays and errors.

The agenda is designed to tackle the industry's most pressing questions, including:

How can AI enable intelligent, self-optimising networks? What role does automation play in building resilience and competitiveness in a hyper-connected world? How can telcos evolve to meet the growing demands of data-intensive applications

Jan Ellsberger, ETSI Director General, will give a keynote presentation on 8 May at 16h00 BST (UK time):  AI & Standardization: bridging innovation and trust through standards:

How does standardization support the safe, interoperable, and ethical development of AI/ML technologies while fostering innovation? What role do standards play in the implementation of the European AI Act and other policy priorities, and how can they provide clarity for businesses navigating regulatory challenges? Why is it important to engage in AI/ML standardization efforts, and how can organizations contribute to shaping the future of AI in Europe and beyond?

Through its market-leading events, webinars, and insights, FutureNet World is setting the agenda for a more agile, efficient, and intelligent telecoms future. Join us to shape the conversation, share your vision, and network with industry leaders as we redefine the role of technology in transforming global connectivity.

Following directly from an ETSI’s 6G Monday, 6G FORGE will bring together advocates and doubters from across the industry to make sure we can address two critical issues:

Aligning 6G development or prioritisation with the business context and priorities of the industry and its customers. Linking the evolution from 5G to 6G with growth opportunities.

We’ve all heard the hype, and some of us are already in Gartner’s “trough of disillusionment”. It’s high time for real talk. Join experts from industry, government, R&D and end-users to determine the true value of 6G for stakeholders and how best to achieve it.

6G FORGE will be hosted by Eurecom on 15-16 April 2025, in Sophia Antipolis, France, only a mile or so away from ETSI’s HQ.
