ETSI is pleased to announce the release of two new Group Reports on Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS). ETSI GR RIS 004 provides implementation and practical insights concerning RIS and ETSI GR RIS 005 studies RIS‑integrated MIMO systems, especially focused on diversity and multiplexing schemes.

ETSI and TTA, the Telecommunication Technology Association of South Korea, are pleased to announce the renewal of their cooperation agreement. The signing ceremony, held on 25 March at ETSI’s facilities, was attended by Mr. Seung-hyun Son, President of TTA and Mr. Jan Ellsberger, ETSI Director-General. This agreement reaffirms a partnership that dates back to 1992, evolving from an initial Memorandum of Understanding to the current, robust Cooperation Agreement.

ETSI is pleased to unveil its 2025 ETSI Fellows who were announced at the 85th ETSI General Assembly on 25 March. The awards ceremony took place at the Meridien hotel, located in the beautiful settings of the famous Promenade des Anglais in Nice, in the South of France. Serge Raes and Alex Leadbeater were unanimously nominated as ETSI Fellows for their outstanding personal contributions to the organization by the Awards committee, composed of the GA Chair and Vice-Chairs, the Board Chair and the ETSI Director-General.
