No Finish line 2026

“No Finish Line” is a charity event organised annually to raise money for children in need of help. The local edition of this national event is accessible-to-all and provides a secure 1-km walking/running track along the famous “Promenade des Anglais” in Nice. The event is open non-stop for 5 days and 4 nights, raising a donation from sponsors of EUR 1 per kilometre covered by each participant.

For the third consecutive year, ETSI was a partner and sponsor of the No Finish Line Nice event. On Thursday 9 April, 53 staff members volunteered to put on their trainers to join thousands of other volunteers on the track and as a result, in just two hours, more than 488 kilometres were covered by all ETSI-sponsored participants.

Specialist Task Forces (STFs)

Sometimes our committees need to accelerate the development of standards in strategic areas—especially when specialised technical expertise is required, or when deadlines cannot be met through the usual voluntary contributions of delegates.

To meet these needs, ETSI establishes Specialist Task Forces (STFs). These teams may be proposed by ETSI members through the responsible committee, or requested and funded by the European Commission (EC) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).

STF experts are selected through an open Call for Expertise, sent to all ETSI members and published on our website. Applications may be submitted by any ETSI member or external organisation, but must be supported by an ETSI member (including Observers and Associate Members).

Once selected, service providers sign an agreement with ETSI. Their remuneration is linked to the timely and high-quality delivery of agreed milestones. All draft specifications produced by STFs follow the committee’s standard approval process.

Testing Task Forces (TTFs)

Testing Task Forces (TTFs) support ETSI Technical Bodies and Industry Specification Groups (ISGs) in accelerating the development of testing and methodology standards.

By providing immediately available, high-level technical expertise, TTFs give ETSI a strong competitive advantage and help deliver the testing solutions the market urgently needs.

TTFs are established and managed by the ETSI Secretariat under the authority of the Director-General. Their work is guided by a technical roadmap and multi-annual plan developed by ETSI’s Centre for Testing and Interoperability (CTI), in consultation with the ETSI Board and the Operational Co-ordination Group (OCG).

Any legally registered organisation may respond to the Call for Expertise.

PlugtestsTM

PlugtestsTM events are Interoperability Testing events organised regularly by ETSI CTI on different technologies in support of the ETSI Technical Bodies. To prepare the event technically, experts are selected through an open Call for Expertise, sent to all ETSI members, and published on our website.
