1) Advert for Functional Analyst with permanent contract

Based in Sophia Antipolis, French Riviera


Within our IT division, you are responsible for the evolutions and the maintenance of our business applications. These applications offer a collaborative solution for the development and dissemination of technical standards, and rely mainly on Web technologies (ASP.NET, PHP, JavaScript).

You will intervene in all stages of the application life cycle: collection and analysis of user needs, writing of functional specifications, monitoring development, testing, deployment in production, user support.

The Functional Analyst is a position that includes the following key responsibilities:

  • Collect and qualify the needs expressed by the users
  • Write the functional specifications to meet these needs
  • Adapt the information model
  • Control and test the changes made to the applications
  • Integrate the new applications in the information system
  • Help the users to master the evolutions
  • Support development teams in analysing and solving complex problems

This role requires a good understanding of the technical architecture of the applications, a good knowledge of the data flows between the application components and a mastery of the information model and associated tools. 


Graduate degree in computer science or a few years of proven experience in software development:

  • Experience in a functional analyst or developer role
  • Ability to model, analyse and transform data using appropriate computer languages (e.g. SQL, scripting languages)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers, both in writing and orally
  • Good English skills - oral and written

Call for expertise in Specialists Task Forces (STFs)

Throughout the year, ETSI issues calls for expertise for Specialist Task Forces (STFs) which support the standardization work of the Technical Organization. Candidatures must be proposed by an ETSI Member Organization, but valuable candidatures from companies which are not ETSI Members may also be considered if the candidature is proposed by the Official Contact of an ETSI Member.
