Testing and interoperability challenges made simple by the users to the users at ETSI’s annual UCAAT Conference in Paris

Sophia Antipolis, 25 October 2018

The ETSI User Conference on Advanced Automated Testing (UCAAT) that took place from 16-18 October gathered users, vendors and service providers around testing and automation in the beautiful city of Paris.

This year, the conference was organized by Testing Solutions and Services, and sponsored by Sogeti, Kalifast, Conformiq and Spirent. The event was supported by ETSI’s Technical Committee on Method for Testing and Specification.

The event focused on Artificial Intelligence, DevOps and “softwarization” of networks. The conference programme, built by a committee of more than 20 experts in testing from Industry and Academia, featured over 30 international presenters and exclusive keynote speakers.

Presentations and posters addressed the application of bleeding-edge testing and automation methodologies on a wide variety of application domains including telecommunications, automotive, smart grids and Industrial IoT. In addition, industrial initiatives reported successful usage and application of methodologies and test languages standardized at ETSI, such as the TTCN-3 and TDL languages.

All presentations of the event are available on the website of the event, including slides from the 3 keynote speeches, the 4 tutorials and the 25+ presentations.

To the satisfaction of the organizers and participants, the fruitful exchange of ideas and experiences brought research, industry and standardization closer to the new and complex challenges of interoperability. The community looks forward to the 7th UCAAT conference taking place 15-17 October 2019.
