ETSI is pleased to endorse the 7th StandICT.eu "Walk & Talk" webinar which will introduce the community to the "Women in ICT Standards".

The link between technology and women is growing stronger every year and clearly reflected in the Sustainable Development Goals 5 on gender equality and the empowerment of women, which includes a specific target on how to leverage technology and ICT assets to fully achieve women’s empowerment.

Diversity, equity and inclusion are foundational elements for the development of standards with a view to shape a world where everyone is adequately represented regardless of race or gender.
Nowadays, the role of women is widely recognized within the ICT Standardization landscape for their valued participation and contributions on Standards & Certification committees and activities (across a broad range of ICT areas).

In this Webinar esteemed representatives from various European and International Standards Developing Organizations – including Ms Suno Wood, Chair of ETSI TC eHealth - will come together to discuss their effort, achievements and current activities in the respective ICT technological domain, how the role of women in ICT gained relevance over the past years and how to encourage more and more women to be active in the field.
