ETSI is pleased to endorse the Technology Awareness Roadshow: How Standards Can Unlock Industrial IoT for SMEs on 26 November.
The Technology Awareness Roadshow will discuss and present the latest status of standards and standardization activities for next generation ICT technologies such as IoT, policies at EU level to support technology standardization and SME access to standards, and real-world cases of technological solutions. With more than 50 billion connected devices by 2025, the opportunities that new technologies offer to SMEs are endless. Standards can serve as building blocks for competitiveness, interoperability, and security, and help SMEs unlock new business models without the need to “reinvent the wheel”.
The Roadshow is organized to present the value of standards, and their use and availabilities in IoT. The Roadshow is explicitly dedicated to SMEs and it includes the opportunity to experience the standards “in action” via testimonials and Proof of Concept (PoC) showcases (e.g. the Lift industry). The online event aims at increasing awareness among SMEs about the benefits, possibilities, and opportunities that new standardized technologies can offer to strengthen their business and enable them to grow and uptake solutions they develop.
