TTA and ETSI, 2 of the founding Partners of oneM2M Partnership Project, and the Institute for Information Industry (III), Taiwan, were pleased to organize the 4th oneM2M Interop event taking place from 16 to 19 May 2017 in Taipei, Taiwan.

This event took place just before the oneM2M TP#29 meeting, which was held from 22 to 26 May 2017, in Shenzhen, China.

The purpose of this event was to verify the primitive’s interoperability as defined in the oneM2M standards and to check end-to-end functionality on oneM2M interfaces Mca and Mcc.

The implementations needed to support at least one of the oneM2M protocol bindings (HTTP, CoAP, MQTT or WebSocket).

Interoperability test scenarios from TS-0013 (interoperability testing) were proposed to participants. The testing was based on the oneM2M Update Release 1 and Release 2 standards:

  • TS-0001 (Functional Architecture)
  • TS-0004 (Service Layer Core Protocol)
  • TS-0008 (CoAP Protocol Binding)
  • TS-0009 (HTTP Protocol Binding)
  • TS-0010 (MQTT Protocol Binding)
  • TS-0020 (WebSocket Protocol Binding)

This Interoperability event offered test sessions where companies could assess the level of interoperability of their implementations and verify the correct interpretation of the oneM2M standards.

The Interop Event also proposed to participants to run some Conformance Testing to help them to debug their products, as specified in oneM2M TS-0018 & TS-0019, and also TS-0028 & TS-0029.

Please note that the interoperability results are not to be public as the event is covered by a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

This activity was supported by the European Commission and oneM2M.
