On April 25, 2025, an open session on "ETSI ZSM and CCSA TC7 AN L4 Technologies and Standards" was successfully held in Beijing. The session was facilitated by Professor Wenjing Li, Chair of CCSA TC7/WG1, with opening remarks delivered by Ku Wen, Chair of CCSA Board. CCSA Vice Secretary-General Xinsheng Nan, Chair of CCSA TC7 Luoming Meng, and over 40 representatives attended the seminar.

ETSI ZSM seminar

Mr. Ku Wen emphasized the importance of collaboration in advancing AN L4 technology standards. Professor Wenjing Li and Diego Lopez provided detailed insights into the overall framework and key progress made by CCSA TC7 and ETSI ZSM in the standardization of network management automation. They highlighted a shared focus on intelligent network operations - particularly in the areas of AI, large models, and agent technologies.

Yuan Yao from China Mobile outlined a phased strategy and practical implementations in high value AN L4 scenarios. Antonio Pastor from Telefonica shared his perspective on ZSM network digital twin standardization and its applications. Poonkuzhali Elango from Nokia presented AI‑powered applications and AI enablers. Fernando Camacho from Huawei shared research on how (multi-) agents’ systems support the evolution from automation to autonomy. Tao Li from China Unicom introduced autonomous closed‑loop implementations using agents and Linjun Liu from China Telecom shared practices for achieving AN L4 cloud-network operations through multi-scenario agents.

With Diego Lopez facilitating the final discussion session, the seminar fostered deeper collaboration between ETSI ZSM and CCSA TC7, laying a solid foundation for future research and continued cooperation.
