The SNS team focuses on building, driving, and promoting Software Development Groups (SDG), which are highly strategic collaborative software development initiatives in support of standardization, following open-source best practices,.
The SNS Technical Expert provides technical expertise and daily project (activity) management to ETSI Software Development Groups working in collaborative software development and open-source initiatives.
The SNS Technical Expert manages and ensures successful progress of Software Development Groups, supporting their software development activities using Open-Source best practices and tools. The SNS Technical Expert disseminates and promotes the work of the SDGs, fostering global community growth as well as synergy with other software and standardization groups.
The SNS Technical Expert reports to the Director of Software and Standards. The position requires international travel.

The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), based in Sophia-Antipolis (06), is looking for a Technical Officer within the Radio Connectivity Technologies Department, Operations Division (OPS).
The Technical Officer provides both technical and administrative support to ETSI Technical Bodies (TBs), Industry Specification Groups (ISGs) and/or the ETSI Partnership Project 3GPP. This support includes advice on good standards-making methods and processes, guidance on the application of the ETSI/3GPP Directives and Working Procedures, technical and administrative support during meetings, as well as advice on the use of the ETSI and 3GPP portal and associated tools. It involves working closely together with DPC (Documents Production Centre) on the final delivery and approval of the standards.

ETSI is offering a service contract for a Project Coordinator to manage, in collaboration with the ETSI Secretariat, the "Training in Standardization Project".
