Membership Administration Assistant
6 months fixed-term contract, with possible evolution
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Membership Administration Assistant to join our team at ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute). You will play a key role in supporting our members throughout their journey with ETSI, from onboarding and invoicing to day-to-day support.
Activities
This role includes the following key responsibilities, operating under the supervision of the Director of Membership Administration:
- Be the first point of contact for ETSI members, providing responsive, professional, and friendly support.
- Help with new membership applications and ensure alignment with our Rules of Procedure.
- Handle invoicing tasks, including uploading to supplier portals and conducting payment follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate member records in our database.
- Help improve internal processes and tools, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Profile
Candidatures are particularly welcome from candidates having the following profile:
- Fluency in English and good French (spoken and written) is essential.
- Previous administrative experience—ideally in a non-profit or membership-based organization.
- Comfortable with IT systems and supplier portals, and quick to learn new tools.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a service-oriented mindset.
- A proactive team player who enjoys working closely with others in a small, collaborative environment.
- Experience or familiarity with invoicing, membership databases, or communications is a strong asset.

Chief Marketing Officer
The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), based in Sophia-Antipolis (06), is looking for a CMO to integrate its MKG Division.
Mission
The Chief Marketing Officer drives and manages marketing activities to improve ETSI’s global reputation and visibility, ensuring effective implementation and alignment to overall ETSI strategy. This involves the development of our membership base, performing communication and branding activities, preparation and hosting of events and meetings.
This role includes the following key responsibilities, operating under the supervision of the Director-General:
- Marketing & Communications Strategy
- Develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies to boost ETSI’s global visibility and reputation.
- Align activities with the organization's strategic goals and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Foster relationships with media to enhance ETSI’s profile and press coverage.
- Content & Messaging Oversight
- Lead the development of promotional content, including the annual report and work programme.
- Ensure visibility of ETSI’s work through close collaboration with technical teams, members, and partners.
- Brand Management
- Oversee the positioning and consistency of the ETSI brand and its sub-brands.
- Maintain brand guidelines and advise internal and external stakeholders on branding, messaging, and design.
- Events & Meetings
- Supervise the organization of ETSI-hosted meetings and branded events.
- Enhance ETSI’s presence at external conferences and trade shows.

- Drive initiatives for member recruitment, engagement, and retention.

Profile

- Bachelor or Master degree specialized in Communication and/or Marketing – preferably combined with strong technical experience
- 15+ years management experience in Communication, Marketing in B2B
- Experience in coordinating a team and in project management

- Results oriented, dynamic and self-driven
- Excellent English skill is a must – preferably fluent in French. One other European language would be appreciated

Applications Support & QA Engineer
The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), based in Sophia-Antipolis (06), is looking for an Applications Support & QA Engineer to integrate its ITC Division, within the Applications team.
Mission
The Applications Support & QA Engineer will ensure the quality, stability, and ongoing maintenance of IT applications through testing, issue investigation, and user support.
This role englobes the following tasks:
- Support end-users and resolve technical or functional issues on-demand.
- Reproduce and analyze reported behaviours.
- Work closely with software development engineers to find solutions for user needs.
- Liaise with the maintenance team to validate work delivered, for continuous improvement.
- Write and run test cases and test plans.
- Log and track bugs/defects and test results.
- Perform manual end-to-end testing, to ensure proper application maintenance.
- Help improve the maintenance team’s quality assurance (QA) processes and tools.
- Support deployments and post-release checks.
- Analyze feasibility and propose solutions for automating tests.
- Develop automated tests to boost efficiency, for critical applications.
- Create and maintain support documentation.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards.
Profile
This hybrid role requires a proactive and user-centric profile, who has a good understanding of web applications and a deep knowledge of the information model, and the tools used to manage it.
Candidatures are particularly welcome from candidates having the following profile:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in web applications testing.
- Experience with REST API testing and troubleshooting (highly recommended).
- Experience in supporting IT applications end-users, investigating their issues, and providing effective solutions.
- Familiarity with backlog triaging and management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Solid knowledge of modeling, analyzing, and transforming data using appropriate languages (e.g., SQL, scripting languages).
- Ability to work with an applications maintenance team in a Kanban format to validate work across test environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers, both in writing and orally.
- Ideally, experience in setting up and using test automation tools.
- Fluency in English (both oral and written).

Communications Trainee
(6 months internship)
Mission
The ETSI Communication Department is looking for an intern to contribute to digital and structural communication projects while supporting the team in their daily operations, including social media management, website content creation and launch, and more.
Key responsibilities
- Social Media: Create engaging content for LinkedIn, including text in English and visuals designed in Canva.
- Website Content: Write and edit news articles, update existing content, create templates, integrate content in the back office, and optimise for SEO.
- Website Project: Support digital project management at all stages, from testing to content integration.
- Digital Marketing: Contribute to newsletters, email campaigns, community programmes, and the development of new communication tools.
This list is not exhaustive, your role will evolve based on projects and team needs.
Profile
Currently pursuing a master’s degree in digital marketing or communication, you have an initial experience in digital marketing or communication, ideally in an agency. Curious, creative, organised, and rigorous, you have strong writing skills and content creation abilities, along with an excellent command of English. You have a collaborative mindset, a solid grasp of digital tools, a strong willingness to learn, and a results- and solutions-oriented approach. A keen interest in the technology sector would be a plus.
