Advert for a Head of IT Applications
The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), based in Sophia-Antipolis (06), is looking for a highly motivated Head of IT Applications to join the APP team. The APP team oversees the development and maintenance of software solutions specific to the governance of ETSI, to the collaborative development of ETSI standards and 3GPP-oneM2M technical specifications, and to the management of Intellectual Property Rights associated with the standards.
Mission
This position includes the following key responsibilities:
- Conduct and manage the development, integration and support activities for IT applications used at ETSI, e.g.:
- Manage the APP team and activities
- Develop and coordinate project plans in collaboration with functional stakeholders and IT project managers
- Define systems and network needs in coordination with the developers and system administrators
- Organize deployment of new releases into production and report on project progress
- Monitor and improve software development processes
Profile
- Graduate Degree in computer science or related field required
- Significant experience in software analysing and programming
- Significant experience in managing IT projects and teams
- Service-oriented and works easily with users
- Proven management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively when dealing with internal and external customers and suppliers, both in writing and orally
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Dynamic and self-driven
- Good English language skills – oral and written
The post will be based in our headquarters located in Sophia-Antipolis, a lung of greenery between Cannes and Nice.
