Advert for a Training in Standardization Project Coordinator

Role Description

ETSI is offering a service contract for a Project Coordinator to manage, in collaboration with the ETSI Secretariat, the "Training in Standardization Project". Initially, this contract will be from April 2024 to the end of December 2024; however, it is expected to continue in 2025. Compensation is based on an all-inclusive daily rate to be agreed between ETSI and the contractor. The Project Coordinator will organize, coordinate, and oversee the project activities. Overall, the Project aims to provide the means to:

  • Educate STEM students as early as possible on the benefits of standardization to society and the economy.
  • Educate policy officials in Administration, European Institutions, and the EFTA Secretariat on the role of standardization and the importance of ETSI within it.
  • "Upskill" existing ETSI member's delegates.
  • Make it easier for under-resourced organizations (and the public) to keep an overview of standardization activities significant to them and how to provide input in a timely and efficient way.
  • Disseminate information about ETSI and its processes in ways tailored to the recipient stakeholders. • Attract new contributors to technical standards development.
  • Raise awareness on obtaining optimum results in the different roles of standardization.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Organizational, time management, and coordination skills
  • Experience in project coordination or project management
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Experience in the ICT sector is a plus

The job primarily involves remote work, with occasional meetings required in our headquarters located in Sophia-Antipolis, a lung of greenery between Cannes and Nice.
