Standards & Interop in ICT ETPs
Sophia Antipolis 23-24 October 2006
Standards and Interoperability in ICT ETPs Workshop Summary
European Technology Platforms (ETPs) are industry-led initiatives whose objective is to support the development of European research policy, these include:
-
Mobile & wireless communications (e-Mobility)
-
Networked and electronic media (NEM)
-
Networked European software and services (NESSI)
-
Road transport research advisory council (ERTRAC)
-
Advisory council for aeronautics research in Europe (ACARE)
-
Smart Systems Integration (EPoSS).
As a global player in standardization and interoperability of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), ETSI organized this workshop to address ICT issues in ETPs. The objectives were to explore common issues relating to interoperability constraints, characterize objectives and cooperation schemes, and to address the technological challenges essential for Europe's competitiveness.
