NFV Plugtests Programme

To accelerate NFV adoption and interoperability, a key enabler to NFV deployment, ETSI is launching an innovative NFV Plugtests Programme.

The NFV Plugtests Programme provides a continuous and ubiquitous environment for collaborative testing and validation activities among different organizations. This programme, based on the ETSI Hub for Interoperability and Validation (HIVE) allows multi-party interoperability tests, PoCs, demos, API validation, etc. to take place during and between ETSI Plugtests events. This programme will be complemented by periodic Plugtests events allowing the Programme community to meet and run face to face intensive testing sessions.

The ETSI HIVE enables different vendors and open source communities to securely interconnect and test their implementations while allowing for seamless access to implementations and tools deployed locally at ETSI. It also provides the remote test infrastructure required to support NFV Plugtests events.

The Programme builds on the success of the 1st ETSI NFV Plugtests, where HIVE interconnected 29 remote labs and enabled 160 interoperability test sessions among 35 different implementations of VNFs, MANO and VIMs provided by vendors and key open source communities. Among the latter, OpenSource MANO (ETSI OSM), OpenBaton, OPNFV and OpenStack, are also supporting the NFV Plugtests Programme.

The Programme is open to ETSI members and non-members free of charge. Organizations are invited to join by registering for the 2nd NFV PlugtestsTM event.
