The ETSI TC TISPAN and the ETSI Centre for Testing & Interoperability are pleased to invite you to their first IPTV Plugtests™, organized with Orange Labs who are supplying the test network infrastructure, alongside the MultiService Forum (MSF), who are providing the basis for the interoperability test specification.
ETSI is the leading standards organization to have defined the integration of IPTV services in fixed next generation networks (NGN). ETSI's Technical Committee TISPAN (Telecoms & Internet converged Services & Protocols for Advanced Networking) has specified an IMS-based IPTV solution which provides a key end-user service: the blending of the TV services with other telecommunication services (e.g. voice, presence, and data services).
IPTV is anticipated to be a key enabler of NGN services and to facilitate the wide deployment of technologies such as IMS in the global market place.
This year ETSI will assess for the first time the interoperability of different IMS-based IPTV equipments based on ETSI TISPAN specifications.
The purposes of this event are:
In addition, an exhibition area will enable vendors to showcase their products to the entire Plugtests audience.
