8th GPON Interoperability Test Event

France Telecom and ETSI are pleased to host the FSAN GPON Interoperability Event #8.
This Test Event event will give the opportunity to participating FSAN Vendors to test the maturity of their product using a global test architecture provided by the organizing Companies.
GPON vendors will improve their capability of providing Ethernet-based services in a full OMCI context, by using various service architectures.

Benefits for the participating companies

• The infrastructure composing the ODN is provided by France Telecom Division R&D;
• Experts from Telecom Italia and France Telecom Division R&D will elaborate a Test Plan for the event based on ITU-T G.984 series recommendations;
• The FSAN Interoperability Event (under NDA) will bring confidence to the solutions that are ready to be marketed.
• The benefits for a Vendor include a great deal of communication and marketing for this technology.

Test Plans
The Test Plans are being elaborated by Telecom Italia and France Telecom’s R&D Division.


Test Schedule
The event will start on Monday 22nd of June in the morning and will finish on Friday 26th of June in the early afternoon.
The 22nd of June is planned for installation, preliminary tests and the first official pairing.

The afternoon of Friday 26th of June is planned for dismounting.
