IoT CoAP Plugtests™ & Workshop

Following the success of the first event, it has been decided to organize a second event in 2012. Similar to the first event, conformance and interoperability test scenarios based on the IETF CoRE standards for M2M

ETSI will assess for the interoperability of different CoAP implementations for features including:

• The base CoAP specification
• CoAP Block Transfer
• CoAP Observation
• The CoRE Link Format

will be proposed to participants. The test scenarios will focus on server and client CoAP end-point implementations and products with these features. IRISA's Passive Trace Validation Tool will be available. Also ETSI's Test Reporting Tool and Scheduling Tool will be provided.

In addition to the test scenarios proposed as the first plugtest, new tests will be available to cover testing of

• Proxy
• Security DTLS
• IPSO Application Template
• Full set of options
• Resource Directory
• Basic ETSI M2M CoAP binding tests
