As with every major technology breakthrough, Interoperability across silicon manufacturers and system integrators is a vital element for a successful roll out.
To this end the DECT Forum are working with ETSI to organise an official CAT-iq 2.0 Plugtests event where Silicon Manufacturers, System Vendors, OEMs, and Carriers alike can test the interoperability of their implementations against other devices and systems.
We believe this will send an important message to the Industry about the maturity of CAT-iq 2.0 and will pave the way for a successful Certification Program and market launch.
This 2nd event will take place in Sophia Antipolis near Nice in France from 13-16 September this year.
We are expecting a strong presence from CAT-iq Handset, Gateway and Base Station manufacturers, system integrators and carriers. In fact anybody that has a CAT-iq 2.0 product to bring to market.
We look forward to your participation. Please note that registered companies will have access in advance to the ETSI wiki service for the event. This allows sharing information and contributions on the event organization as well as the test sessions.
