Hotel booking & Car rental
There is a wide range of hotels available for rent in the local area. Please follow this link to get a list of selected hotels in Sophia-Antipolis where prices have been negotiated by ETSI.
Booking a hotel
- Select the hotel as soon as possible
- Call the hotel to ensure availability
- Make all reservations in your own name, directly with the hotel. Do not use an intermediary (e.g. travel agency or airline company)
- Fill in this 'Hotel confirmation form' in Word format directly on your PC and fax it to the hotel.
- When booking please check that the room rates correspond to those agreed upon by ETSI for the current year and reported in the attached list.
If you need to cancel your reservation, call the hotel 24 hours in advance to confirm the cancellation, and keep your cancellation registration number.
Please note that the ETSI Secretariat will not make reservations for you and cannot be held responsible for any cancellations or 'no show'.
Renting a car/ travelling to the venue
The closest airport to ETSI is Nice International Airport.
From the airport it is a 25 minute journey by taxi to ETSI. The approximate cost of this is 50 €. Alternatively you can book from this list in advance and benefit from an ETSI discounted rate.
A shuttle bus service [n°230] is also available from the airport to Sophia Antipolis. You should ask the driver to stop at Place Sophie Laffitte, which is a 5' walk from ETSI. The bus ticket costs 1 euro.

Coming from Nice by motorway:
- Exit N°44: Antibes – Sophia-Antipolis
- Pass under the highway direction Antibes
- At the roundabout take the direction: Vallauris – Valbonne – Sophia- Antipolis on the road RD 103 named “Route du Parc” – be careful as there is an automatic radar - 70Km/h speed limit.
- At the roundabout “Les Bouillides” (large roundabout with timber pergolas), follow “Les Bouillides” by turning to the right, and then at the small roundabout “Les Dolines”, follow the direction “Accès 8 à 12” by taking the road on your left.
- On the “Route des Crêtes”, 300 meters after the crossroads “Les Dolines”, the Espaces Antipolis is on your right (Free visitors parking 20 meters after the main entrance).

Travel and other usefull information
The main regional airport is NICE (NCE) which is one of the most important airports in France. Direct flights are available to and from Paris CDG and/or Orly approximately every hour. Many airlines operate to and from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport.

Sophia Antipolis is a working area, therefore, you should consider renting a car.
