PLUGTESTS THE INTEROPERABILITY SERVICE

Triple Play over Broadband & Autoconfig

This year the event is divided into three separated parts.

The DSL physical part of the event will focus on access networks that lie on the ADSL2plus and VDSL2 transmission paired with the services, which are to be carried via these technologies.

Hence, Triple-Play will be another main focus of this event, for which specific test cases will be performed for Voice, Video and Data over IP. New this year: IPv6 will be introduced in the test suite.

To complete the overall view of this event, the Autoconfiguration services will also be addressed as they are becoming more and more vital for network operators to handle their customers’ expectations professionally.

The following testing will be provided:

DSL Physical Layer Interoperability Testing between CO and CPE equipment. This is addressed to manufacturers, developers and system integrators of CPE equipment who provide broadband services via twisted copper pairs (such as ADSL2plus modems, VDSL2 modems, Set-Top-Boxes, IADs, etc., etc.).

Triple-Play Interoperability and Performance Testing
(Video, Voice and Data Provision) between Application Server and Application Client (including Set-Top-Boxes etc.).
This is addressed to manufacturers, developers and system integrators of CO equipment who provide broadband services via twisted copper pairs such as DSLAMs providing ADSL2plus and VDSL2 lines. Optical based system manufacturers willing to test their solution in a triple play environment are also welcome. Eventually, the triple play part targets test tools manufacturers or providers dealing with Quality of Service or Quality of Experience measurements.

Autoconfiguration Interoperability Testing between Autoconfiguration Servers (ACS) and Autoconfiguration Clients (ACC) without limitation to the supported lower layer technology.
This is addressed to developers and integrators of Autoconfiguration Servers (ACS) and Autoconfiguration Clients (ACC) (independent of the supported technology, incl. pure SW solutions).
Also, developers and integrators of CPE equipment with integrated Autoconfiguration capabilities.
