We would like to wish Huawei well as they settle in to their Research centre, opened in 2013 and located just a few minutes away from ETSI’s Sophia Antipolis headquarters.
On December 5, 2018 ETSI’s executives were invited to a special opening day to meet with the Huawei team, including Standards experts who will be regular attendees in ETSI meetings. The agenda of the visit comprised presentations and demonstrations of Huawei’s latest technology developments along with a visit of their facilities. The key competences at the new R&D centre include high frequency spectrum usage, image processing, artificial intelligence and the development of 5G systems.
The opening of this new centre has added Huawei's name to those ICT and Hi-Tech companies who have made a home in Sophia Antipolis, one of Europe’s foremost technology parks.
