EU-US Electronic Signatures workshop

Europe has engaged in achieving the interoperability of electronic signatures throughout Europe, by providing a rationalised European electronic signature standardisation framework. This will allow mutual recognition and the cross-border interoperability of electronic signatures.
For this, the European Commission issued a standardization mandate (M/460) in December 2009 and the standards organizations CEN and ETSI are now working on this rationalized framework. In parallel the European Commission is working on a pan European policy framework for electronic identification, authentication and signature.
As internationalisation of the rationalised framework is of utmost importance, ETSI and Adobe Systems are organizing an EU-US workshop on electronic signatures. The workshop will primarily focus on policy issues and exchange of views between EU and US policy makers. 
The event will be the opportunity to learn about how electronic signatures work in Europe and in the US.
The event is kindly hosted by Adobe.
