ETSI publishes mobile Satellite Digital Radio Standard

The ETSI Technical Committee Satellite Earth Stations and Systems (TC SES) has developed a set of standards for the physical layer of Satellite Digital Radio (SDR) networks that will improve efficiency and encourage interoperability in the transmission of video, audio and data content directly to mobile receivers.

SIM card, handset and infrastructure Interoperability testing at ETSI

SIM card, handset and infrastructure testing has been successfully completed this week by ETSI Plugtests™ the interoperability service, in cooperation with SIMalliance.

A major part of the event was the SIM - Handset interoperability workshop, with operator deployment of new (U)SIM services now about to be launched, the workshop allowed companies to test - with partners and competitors - the behaviour of key USIM features in their products.

Industry standards for safeguarding children

Testing the mix for GPON and DSL success

European standards organizations sign Memorandum of Understanding with European Railways Association (ERA).

European railways have been moving goods and people since the 19th Century. As Europe gets bigger and more complex, rail transport becomes only more important. In an important landmark on the road to an integrated European railway area, the heads of the three European Standards Organizations (ESOs) CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the European Railway Agency yesterday.
