ETSI TC ESI is developing standards for trust services to support electronic signatures and related services for securing e-commerce and online services.  Such trust services provide "digital certificates" which secure the authenticity of identities, and associated keys, which are then used to secure modern e-Commerce and Internet services in line with EU legislative requirements. 

The Seminar, a regular service provided free to our Members, is aimed at improving the effectiveness of standards-making in ETSI by developing special skills in those people actively involved in our work.

ETSI Plugtests, the IPSO Alliance and the FP7 Probe-it project are pleased to invite you to participate in the second Internet of Things CoAP Plugtests, taking place from 28th -30th November 2012 in Sophia Antipolis, France.

TC STQ is responsible for standardization relating to terminals and networks for speech and media quality, end-to-end single media and multimedia transmission performance, Quality of Service (QoS) parameters for networks and services and Quality of Experience (QoE) descriptors and methods.

ETSI Centre for Testing and Interoperability (CTI) organized the first remote Plugtests Interop event for ASiC Signatures from 19 November to 7 December 2012.

ETSI in co-operation with the BII Group and the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Laboratory, hosted the 1st Global IPv6 Transition Test Event from November 12-15 2012 in Beijing.

This event was a local industry interoperability event primarily amongst major Chinese market equipment suppliers to assess the maturity and readiness of their equipment’s transition technologies. Only a limited number of tests (~100) were developed and executed during the event.

A standardized framework for interoperable M2M Services

ETSI's 3rd workshop on Machine to Machine (M2M) communications, held in Mandelieu France on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of October 2012, gathered leading experts from all over the world to hear how ETSI M2M technology standards are being deployed.

The MultiService Forum (MSF), European Telecoms Standards Institute (ETSI) and GSM Association (GSMA) organized a RCS VoLTE Interoperability Event 2012 focused on validating core network interfaces to ensure multi-vendor deployment strategies for RCS and VoLTE technology.

The Cloud Plugfest Series was originated by the Open Grid Forum (OGF) and SNIA in 2011. This event is the 6th plugfest in that series and is proudly co-organised by OGF, the SNIA Cloud Storage Initiative (CSI) and European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). Co-hosting this event are the SNIA CSI and ETSI in the US and Europe, respectively.

The first ETSI Workshop on Energy Efficiency took place on 20-21 June 2012, in Genoa, Italy, and was hosted by the University of Genoa and supported by ECONET project.
