The success of the previous Cooperative Mobility Services Plugtests™ events in 2011 & 2012, on ETSI ITS Transport and Networking communication layer protocols, has led ERTICO and ETSI to pursue their efforts in providing a further series of interoperability events for Cooperative Systems.
Objectives

The aim of the interoperability program is to validate the ITS communication layer base standards and thus support the standardization process. Vendor to vendor test sessions will assess the level of interoperability and the correct understanding of the base standard requirements. By performing Plugtests, suppliers are preparing Cooperative ITS equipment for deployment according to the Roadmap, to a Single European Transport Area.
Scope
The proposed interoperability tests will be based on the optimized and reviewed base specifications:
- CAM , DENM
- GeoNetworking (optional and mandatory tests)
- IPv6 over GeoNetworking
The scope of this year's interop event will be broadened by offering two additional topics
- Security Interop tests of TS 103 097
- RF measurements which will enable assessment of:
-
- the minimum radio performance of the ITS service, and
-
the interference protection of potential victim services in adjacent channels
The proposed RF measurements should be in preparation of the harmonized standard EN 301 571 and the access layer DCC specifications.
In addition to the interoperability tests, the ITS Conformance Validation Framework with its conformance test suites for CAM, DENM, BTP, GN6, GN and Security will be demonstrated. Vendors will have the opportunity to run the conformance tests in order to assess their compliance with the base standards. The latest releases of the tests will be available.
Workshop
A workshop will be held during this event and further details will be available very shortly.
Previous CMS events
ITS Cooperative Mobility Services #2
11-15 June 2012 - Versailles, France
Following the success of the first event in Helmond (NL) in November 2011, it was decided to hold a second CMS Plugtests event from 11th to 15th June, 2012. More than fifteen companies with over forty five participants met at IFSTTAR's Versailles-SATORY test site.
ITS Cooperative Mobility Services #1
14-18 November 2011, Helmond, The Netherlands
This event aimed to test the interoperability of ITS protocols CAM, DENM, BTP, GeoNetworking and ITS-G5. A radio bench setup was provided to enable testing multi hop scenarios and to provide GPS feed via a position server for all test scenarios. This event was intended to help the acceleration of the ITS standardization as well as recommendations for ongoing and future projects to lead the deployment of cooperative ITS systems.
