Local Information

Sophia Antipolis is well served with local amenities including hotels, restaurants and shops. It enjoys a Mediterranean climate, which means that it is hot in the summer and relatively mild for the rest of the year. If you are visiting in the winter months though, be prepared for snow. Most of the rainfall is in the spring and autumn but can occur at any time of year.

Sophia Antipolis has little local crime, but you should be careful when travelling closer to the coast.

While English, French and German are spoken widely within ETSI, French is the local language. The local currency is the Euro but local cash machines will accept international Visa and Mastercard.

If you are visiting from outside the EU, you may need a Visa. If you are not sure, check with your local French embassy. ETSI can provide you with a personal invitation in order to assist you with your application.
